COMPANY HISTORY

OUR PAST GUIDES US

Base #1

In the year 1872, Mr. Hector Beissier bought the French company “Buisson Aîne”, a small gelatine manufacturer. The company changed its name to that of its new owner and gradually began to manufacture resins, industrial glues and products for painters that would mark the path and the destination we were striving for. Over time, it was not only the name that changed, and in 1930 Beissier opened a new door, its new factory in Spain, more specifically in Pasajes, where industrialisation was modernising the territory and industry was becoming the characteristic Basque economic sector. After the signing of the deeds for those premises, Beissier began to become known within our borders for its glues, primers and paints.

And along the way, we forged the attitude that defines us. In our new location, Pasajes, we would enjoy one of the most important and representative milestones the launch in 1944 of Aguaplast as the first filler on the national market, making us leaders in manufacturing and sales. This was followed by products that made us pioneers and leaders in Spain and which, even today, make us proud as a brand, and reflect the quality and professionalism of our work. An example is the launch of Isolfix stain covering paint in 1964, and another, years later, is Todo Terreno, the best known multi-adherent primer on the market.

4. Grindometer (1960s): this measures the presence of larger particles or agglomerates in the dispersion process. It is used in the development of paints.

In 2001, we took another step towards the future, a future we continue to shape every day to ensure no dream or goal is left behind. We opened our current factory in Errenteria. Together with the German group STO, a leading manufacturer of products and systems for facades and interiors, we continued to grow and evolve. During this period, we consolidated our presence in the world of facades, first incorporating a complete range of mortars, before launching our exterior thermal insulation systems a few years later.

Today, Beissier stands among the 200 oldest companies in the country, an honor few can claim, filling us with immense pride.

And so, although the future will always hold uncertainties, at Beissier, through our determination and tireless daily work, we strive to build a future that is professional, creative, innovative, and above all, human. We firmly believe that working hand in hand with our customers and suppliers has brought us this far and will take us even further.

Beissier – a journey through time.
